Where the Church Does its Thinking in America

The School of Theology and Religious Studies teaches not only about the Church, but for it, too.

For more than 130 years, our institution has been providing theological training to those at the heart of the Church in the United States: from seminarians and religious sisters to biomedical ethicists and liturgists. Professors at Catholic University are those who have received a canonical mission to teach in the name of the Church, educating disciples in lessons of faith and morality. This devotion to theological scholarship is augmented by access to major, international conferences that expose students to presentations, lectures, and thought leadership from world-renowned scholars and speakers.
