The Catholic University of America offers numerous options for students to study abroad. 

Its flagship program is the Rome Center located at Via Garibaldi, 28, on Rome’s Janiculum Hill. The one-acre property has a six-floor building surrounded by a 19th-century garden. The building has 24,000 square feet of usable interior space and 4,500 square feet of outside terrace. A chapel is part of the building, as well as a large dining room and a small library. The building dates to 1962-63, and noted Italian architect Giò Ponti had a hand in its design. It was built for the Sisters of Notre Dame de Sion, replacing a villa that was on the site. The center has 70 student beds, an apartment for a resident staff member, two apartments for visiting faculty, a dining room, library, and a studio for architecture students.

Spanish Language and Ministry for Seminarians (Mexico)

The Center for Global Education, in collaboration with the Theological College and the School for Theological and Religious Studies, offers an intensive Spanish Studies and Ministry Program for Seminarians. This program is designed to assist in the formation of seminarians to work with the Hispanic community in the United States. Studies are primarily for Spanish language and culture and Hispanic ministry. Language instruction is provided by the Universidad Pontificia de Mexico, a Catholic University, and one of the most prestigious in Mexico. Participants join in the daily routine of the Seminario Hispano and conduct outreach to local people and parishes. Guided excursions to sites such as the Basilica of Guadalupe, Teotihuacan, and the Anthropology Museum are also included in the program. Learn more about this program
