  • Michael Francis earned his Ph.D. in New Testament and early Judaism at the University of Notre Dame. Before joining The Catholic University of America in 2022 he taught biblical studies at John Brown University in Northwest Arkansas. His research interests include Paul, Philo of Alexandria, and the history of ideas in early Jewish and Christian writings within the Greco-Roman world. He is currently completing a book on scriptural interpretation and ethics in Hellenistic Judaism.
