Dr. Robert Miller, Ordinary Professor of Old Testament, has published two articles this month. “Daniel and Friends at the Carlisle Indian School,” Stellenbosch Theological Journal 7 (2021): 1-17, reads the first chapter of the Book of Daniel through the experience of American Indian residential schools. “Hungry like the Wolf: On the Image of Mot,” Ugarit-Forschungen 51 (2021): 115-32, shows that the “personification” of “death” in ancient Israel and Canaan was the image of a wolf.
