Funding:


All admitted PhD students will receive a full-tuition scholarship and a $25,000 annual stipend for five years.

  1. Create an account for a Graduate Application. (If you are returning to an application you can use the same link.)
  2. Create...
  3. Fill in information about your application.
  4. Fill in personal information, such as address, citizenship, languages spoken, etc.
  5. Fill in academic history. (Here is where you can upload your unofficial transcripts)
  6. Fill in test information. (GRE scores, TOEFL scores, etc.)
  7. Fill in employment information.
  8. Fill in in any recent activities in which you have participated.
  9. Fill in any disciplinary and military information.
  10. Submit contact information for three recommenders.
  11. Upload your Statement of Purpose essay to the online application.
  12. Upload a writing sample. This document is required for Doctoral programs.
  13. Pay your $60 application fee.
  14. Submit application.

After submitting the application, arrange to have the following sent:

  • Mail official transcripts from each college or university attended.
  • Mail GRE score report if you have not done so already. (Test Code 5104)
  • For International Applicants only: Mail official TOEFL score report and confirmation of Financial Report. (Test Code 5104)

During the Application Process:

  • Apply for need-based through the Office of Financial Aid.  
  • Check online for the status of your application.
  • Visit the University (To set up a visit to the university please contact the Office of Graduate Admission).

After you have decided to attend our School of Theology and Religious Studies and have paid your matriculation fee:

  1. Create a login I.D. and password for Cardinal Station.
  2. Choose your classes on Cardinal Station after consulting with your advisor. Additionally, you should include alternate choices in case certain classes become unavailable. Be certain to consult the course registration information that was mailed to you.
  3. Upload your Cardinal Card I.D. photo online.
