Biography

My name is Raad Eshoo. I'm originally from Mosul (Ninevah), Iraq. I speak three languages Chaldean, English, and Arabic. I'm learning French as well. My family and I immigrated to Canada in 2007 after the war. My first encounter with snow was when I went to Canada. First, I thought it was salt. In 2017, I joined the Conventual Franciscan Friars in the US. It was the best decision in my life. I have been blessed to be a part of this wonderful community. For fun, I like watching movies, read books ( sometimes), and listen to music. The only thing that I cannot stand is cooking. I'm not particularly eager to cook. It is the only thing I do not enjoy, but I like food. Every day, I thank God for giving me many opportunities to learn and flourish with all that I do from School and religious life. In the words of our holy father, St. Francis of Assisi, “We have been called to heal wounds, to unite what has fallen apart, and to bring home those who have lost their way.” Let us do good and bring peace to this wounded world.
