Biography

I am a senior from Elkridge, Maryland double majoring in biochemistry and theology and religious studies. I frequently get asked what I hope to do with majoring in these two different fields, a lot of times people think bioethics is a natural fit. I hope to pursue a career as a Catholic scientist. My goal is to obtain an MD/PhD to be able to do patient-driven research where I will be able to live out my Catholic faith by the way I serve and treat my patients and everyone I work with. I also hope to be able to be active in youth ministry wherever I live because helping middle and high schoolers in their faith journey is something I am passionate about. I was drawn to Catholic University because of the amazing community I felt every time I visited campus. Throughout my four years I have been involved in student leadership (student ministry and two-year resident assistant), student government representing the School of Theology and Religious Studies, community service (Cardinal Service Corps and Habitat for Humanity), and leadership positions in various other clubs. Throughout my time here at Catholic my focus has been on growing in faith and friendships, serving others, and being a part of our great university community. Outside of the classroom, my interests include doing things outdoors like walking and hiking, sports (go Ravens and Orioles), games with friends, including recently Settlers of Catan, and trying new things like cooking and coloring.
