July 31, 2019
From July 19th through the 21st, Dr. John Grabowski, associate professor of Moral Theology & Ethics, and his wife, Clare, took part in the Symposium "Exploring the Unique Role of Catholic Families in Growing Faith" put on by the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame.  The event was an invitation-only gathering of social scientists, theologians, and pastoral ministers.  The event was cosponsored by the Our Sunday Visitor Foundation, Holy Cross Family Ministries, and the Pastoral Solutions Institute.  John and Clare presented a paper entitled "The Nearest Hospital: Exploring the Domestic Church as a Place of Healing."  The presentation looked at healing dimensions of the sacraments of baptism, marriage, and the Eucharist especially when joined to specific practices in the life of a family.
