On October 2, 2021 John Grabowski gave two presentations at a Thomistic Institute retreat at the Dominican House of Studies.  The talks were entitled “The Image of God in the Soul” and “The Image of God in the Body.”  The first examined Saint Augustine’s psychological analogy for the Trinity in the operations of the soul (memory, intellect, and will) and its implications for the spiritual life.  The second considered the role of the body in Christian anthropology and spirituality, drawing on the teaching of Pope St. John Paul II.

On October 22, 2021 (the feast of St. John Paul II) John Grabowski presented in the “Evenings with the Merciful Jesus” series at the John Paul II National Shrine sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy.   The talk was entitled “Saint John Paul II’s Method of Reading Scripture” and it focused on the Polish Pope’s approach to reading the Bible as exemplified in Veritatis splendor and his catechesis on the theology of the body.
