    Dominic Serra holds the MA in liturgical research from the University of Notre Dame and the Doctorate in Sacred Liturgy from the Pontifical Institute of Liturgy at the Athenaeum Sancti Anselmi in Rome. He taught Liturgical Studies and Sacramental Theology at The Saint Paul Seminary School of Divinity in St. Paul, Minnesota before joining the faculty at The Catholic University of America in 2000. He is a native of the Bronx and a priest of the Archdiocese of New York where he served in parish ministry for fourteen years. Recent research projects have been in the area of Christian Initiation. He is currently writing a book on early Roman baptismal practice and theology.
