Applying to Light the World!

Light the World! applications for high school students will go live in December and close in April. 

The cost of an in-person week with Light the World! is $525.00, and the application fee is $25.00. Program fee includes all meals, housing, excursions, and program experiences from the start of the program week (Sunday at Mass) until the closing brunch (the following Saturday). We hope that this cost does not deter any interested participants as scholarships are readily available upon request.

  • Application Essay: What does holiness mean to you? How do you foresee your faith interacting with your dream career? (Please keep essays to 350-500 words)
  • Application fee is $25 and must be paid on the online application. Application deadline is April 30.

A representative from Light the World! will be in contact via email within 14 business days to notify you regarding acceptance into the program.

Registration Process:

  • All registration materials will be emailed once application has been accepted. Registration payment is $525 and can be completed via e-check or credit card on Cardinal Pay.
  • For more information see the most updated Light the World! Participant and Guardian Handbook when it is available
  • Complete necessary form before the program week. Forms will be uploaded here when available.

Scholarship

This program is funded, in part, by a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. and additional donors generously contribute to our growth. These sponsorships have allowed us to ensure that cost does not deter anyone from attending Light the World.
