  • Msgr. Stephen J. Rossetti Gives Lenten Day of Recollection for Green Bay Priests

    Msgr Stephen J. Rossetti gave the first Lenten Day of Recollection for the priests of the Diocese of Green Bay on Friday, February 15. Forty-five priests and three bishops attended. Msgr. Rossetti spoke about a spirituality of diocesan priesthood and ended the day with reflections on Eucharistic gratitude and Christian joy. The Diocese plans to continue having these Lenten reflection days for its priests every year. During a break in the workshop, Msgr. Rossetti gave an interview for the diocesan newspaper and after the workshop was over, he gave a 30 minute live radio interview for the Catholic station-- Relevant Radio.

  • Dr. Pecknold Publishes Essays in Two Festschrifts

    Dr. Chad Pecknold has recently published essays on the discipline of theology in honor of two distinguished theologians, Ralph Del Colle and David Ford.  In honor of the late Ralph Del Colle, Pecknold contributed an essay, "The Humble Greatness of Theology," to Michel Rene Barnes (Ed.) A Man of the Church

    In honor of David Ford's 65th birthday, Pecknold contributed an essay, "Ecclesial Theology in the University," to Rachel Muers et al (Eds.) The Vocation of Theology Today
  • Professor Michael Root Lectures on Vatican II

    Professor Root gave a lecture at Loyola University Maryland on "Vatican II on Ecumensim: Reform, Rupture, or What?" on Feb. 7, 2013. This was the first in a series of lectures on Vatican II sponsored by Loyola University's Catholic Studies program.

    Fr. Begg recently published an article entitled, "Josephus' and Pseudo-Philo's Rewritings of the Book of Joshua," in The Book of Joshua (ed. E. Noort; BETL 250; Leuver/Paris/Walpole, MA, 2012)

  • Dr. Miller Lectures at National Museum of Language

    On February 3rd, Dr. Robert Miller presented a lecture as part of the Amelia C. Murdoch 2013 Speaker Series at the National Museum of Language in College Park, MD. His presentation, " Oral Literature and Performance in Ancient Israel," explored the nature of orality and literacy in ancient Israel, the nature of its oral literature, and the ways in which this literature would have been performed and received.
