Msgr. Stephen Rossetti Publishes Article on Priesthood and Burnout Msgr. Stephen Rossetti in STRS and Dr. Colin Rhoades from the University of Maryland published "Burnout in Catholic Clergy: A Predictive Model Using Psychological and Spiritual Variables" in the peer-reviewed APA Journal Psychology of Religion and Spirituality, July 29,2013.  The results of their data driven study were that burnout among Catholic clergy, while often assumed to be high, was actually very low.  They also uncovered some of the more important variables influencing burnout which were job satisfaction, inner peace, low childhood psychological problems, relationship to God, and good friends.  On these variables, the priests were strongly positive and thus reported being less burned out.
