Msgr. Irwin's New Book Published -- SERVING THE BODY OF CHRIST
Msgr. Irwin's new book, Serving the Body of Christ: The Magisterium on Eucharist and Holy Orders , has been published by Paulist Press. The principal chapters deal with the magisterium from the Council of Trent through Benedict XVI with accompanying chapters on a contemporary theology of the Eucharist and Ordained Priesthood in light of those documents. The chapter on the magisterium on the Eucharist had its origin in Msgr. Irwin's study paper prepared for and discussed as part of the United Methodist -- Catholic dialogue on the Eucharist in June, 2011. The chapter on the magisterium on Ordained Priesthood had its origin in Msgr. Irwin's study paper prepared for, presented and discussed at the International meeting of the Sulpician Fathers held in Montreal in July 2012. This is Msgr. Irwin's fourteenth book.
