Cardinal Tagle Delivers Cardinal Dearden Lecture
On 2 March, 2015, Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Archbishop of Manila, delivered the Cardinal Dearden Lecture in the School of Theology and Religious Studies. Commemorating the 50th anniversary of the ending of the Second Vatican Council, and of the promulgation of the final conciliar constitution, Gaudium et Spes, on the Church in the modern world, in particular, Cardinal Tagle spoke on: 'Gaudium et Spes after 50 Years: An Asian Reception'. CUA was delighted to welcome Cardinal Tagle, an alumnus, back to campus, and his lecture was very warmly received by an audience of faculty, students and visitors.
