Fr Lombardo gives lecture at Providence College
On Monday March 16, Fr Nicholas Lombardo gave the annual St Thomas Aquinas lecture at Providence College on "What was Jesus intending? Reconstructing Jesus' historical attitude toward his death." The lecture looked at what we can say, in broad outline, about Jesus' historical attitude toward his death. Then it turned to early Christian understanding of the crucifixion and discussed how it can help explain why Jesus approached his death the way he did.
