Symposium on the Synods
On Monday March 16, 2015, STRS held a symposium on "The Synods on the Family and the New Evangelization". Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz, the President of USCCB, and Dr John Grabowski, director of the Moral Theology/Ethics academic area in STRS discussed the nature of synods, the purpose of the current synods on the family, the Archbishop's experience as a participant in the Extraordinary Synod of 2014, and the way in which these synods fit into the ministry of Pope Francis and his vision for the Church.
