Biblical Studies Area Attends the Catholic Biblical Association Annual Meeting The CUA Biblical Studies Area was well represented at the Catholic Biblical Association annual meeting at Xavier University in New Orleans August 1-4. Prof. David Bosworth presented "Did King David Read Machiavelli?" and Prof. Bradley Gregory delivered a paper entitled "Vice and Virtue in the Moral Vision of the Latin of Ben Sira (Ecclesiasticus)." Prof. Ian Boxall was also present at the meeting and participated in seminars. Several current CUA students attended the meeting: Isaac Alderman, Joseph Chen, Nathaniel Polinski, and Maria Rodriguez. Some recent graduates also attended: Lesley DiFransico, Nathan LaMontagne, and Lina Rong. Mark Giszczak presented his paper "Ritual Gesture and Social Cohesion in the Old Testament".
