David Bosworth published an article "Weeping in Recognition Scenes in Genesis and the Odyssey " in the current issue of The Catholic Biblical Quarterly. The essay correlates scientific research on weeping and "tears of joy" with the motif of crying in reunion scenes in Genesis and Homer's Odyssey .
