Dr. David Lantigua has published the article, "War and the Ethics of Evangelization: The Great Commission in Sixteenth-Century Spanish Political Thought," in Reading Scripture as a Political Act: Essays on the Theopolitical Interpretation of Scripture (Fortress Press), 169-93. This volume, edited by CUA's Dr. Matthew Tapie (Moral Theology/Ethics alumnus) and Daniel McClain (Historical/Systematic PhD student) explores the political character of premodern and modern readings of scripture with attention to how these relate to or address political challenges in social and historical contexts.
