Essay written by Dr. Grabowski on same-sex attraction recently published

"Not Just Love:  The Anthropological Assumptions of Catholic Teaching on Same-Sex Attraction and Activity,"  in Justice through Diversity: A Philosophical and Theological Debate, ed. Michael J. Sweeney, pp. 615-38.  Lanham, MD: Rowman & Littlefield, 2016.  The essay argues against recent defenses of committed same-sex partnerships advanced by some theologians.  The chapter holds that such analyses tend to view persons as individuals whose identity is largely shaped by sexual desire and whose activity must be evaluated according to standards of justice understood as fairness, Catholic teaching resists these reductions, advancing an anthropology which sees human dignity as grounded in a shared human nature instantiated in sexually diverse persons called to lives of justice shaped by Trinitarian love.
