  • Msgr. Irwin Publishes New Book

This week the Paulist Press released Msgr. Irwin's new book, a commentary on Pope Francis' encyclical LAUDATO SI. This survey also includes documents from national episcopal conferences and representative texts from the Orthodox Church. Chapter two summarizes many of the points the Pope makes in the document, in particular where he advances on Catholic teaching. Chapter three argues a number of avenues for the continuing implementation of the encyclical: international, national, ecclesial and personal. This chapter also has specific suggestions about the reformed Roman Catholic liturgy in light of LAUDATO SI. The final chapter offers ideas and pathways forward beyond the encyclical.
